In the battle that the NBA planet is waging in memory of George Floyd, his two main spokespersons, LeBron James and Stephen Jackson, have exchanged a few words in recent hours. The latter revealed the content of the words.
It’s been over a week since George Floyd passed away, and the United States mourns a new African-American victim who has disappeared at the hands of the police. Unfortunately commonplace in the country, this tragedy this time around has prompted the general public to a general uprising. Anti-racism demonstrations thus abound all over the territory.
The NBA sphere has largely joined and even contributed to this movement. Stephen Curry, Ben Simmons, Allen Iverson, or even recently Michael Jordan, are among the personalities of the league who raise their voices and use their notoriety to highlight this fight. Their two main spokespersons, however, remain LeBron James and Stephen Jackson.
Former Spurs winger had a very special bond with George Floyd, and is logically very involved in this fight. The leader of the Lakers was one of the first to take sides in this affair, and has continued to write and relay since then. messages of support and a call for union on its social networks.
Among the speeches shared on his Instagram account, we found in particular the one delivered by Stephen Jackson a few days ago. The latter obviously did not fail to thank the King for his precious help. A private conversation ensued between the two men, which Jackson reported to Marc J. Spears ofESPN.

He posted me doing my speech, and I texted him, “That’s cool bro, I won’t let you down.” He replied, “You haven’t let me down, and I won’t let you down either.” It was intense.
United in this difficult ordeal which they both face in the front row, the two men have a deep mutual respect, and therefore do not intend to abandon each other. A situation that prompted Jackson to pay tribute to his counterpart for his personality off the field.
Note that if we talk a lot about Stephen Jackson in the sad controversy around George Floyd, another player in the league has spoken in recent hours: Thabo Sefolosha. He notably revealed have also been the victim of police violence in 2015. His testimony is poignant.
