Stephen Gerrard, coach of the Saudi Al-Ittifaq team, decided to include Manchester United star Mason Greenwood this summer.
Manchester United announced that the player Greenwood will leave the club, after the end of the internal investigation conducted by the English club for a period of six months, regarding the incident of Mason’s sexual assault on a girl last year.
Although Mason was acquitted of this charge in February 2023, Manchester United was not convinced of the decision and confirmed that the player would leave the team.

And press reports stated that the Saudi club Al-Ettifaq might be interested in contracting with Mason Greenwood this summer, but Gerrard, coach of the team, denied these rumors.

And the former Liverpool legend published a picture of a report linking the agreement to the inclusion of Mason, on his personal account on the “Instagram” photo-sharing site, and commented, “Fake news.”

Other press reports revealed that Greenwood wants to continue in England, and two championship teams have expressed interest in including him, but so far the English star will remain out of action until his transfer to a new team is completed.
