It was announced on Sunday that a coach from the Italian national ski team had contracted Corona. As a result, comprehensive tests were carried out on athletes, coaches and employees on the Stelvio Pass – where the Azzurri are holding a training camp these days. Now the result is there.

As the Italian winter sports association announced on Sunday evening, 2 other people have tested positive for the corona virus in addition to the trainer. This is another trainer and an athlete, but they have no symptoms. Both are not mentioned by name.
A total of around 150 tests were carried out, the association’s press release said. The 3 people infected with corona were isolated from the group and are returning home to quarantine.
Training on the Stelvio Pass, which was reserved exclusively for FISI throughout June, continues as usual on Monday. The observation group, the women’s European Cup group and the juniors will remain on site, while the women’s World Cup group (including Nicol Delago, Nadia Delago and Verena Gasslitter), the juniors and the European Cup men (with Florian Schieder and Tobias Kastlunger) dismantle their training tents and leave.
