Steinberg joined the ranks of the Istanbul Club before the 2020/2021 season.

Last season, he played in 43 games, 35 in the Turkish Championships and eight in the Euroleague. In the Turkish championship, every woman scored 13.5 points in a match, won 7.2 balls under baskets, gave 2.7 assists and intercepted 1.4 balls, but in the Euroleague she had an average of 13.4 points and 9.3 balls under baskets.

“Galatasaray” basketball players won silver medals in the Turkish championship, but stopped at the Euroleague in the quarterfinals. In both tournaments, they were stopped by the second Istanbul grand “Fenerbahce”.

Before joining the Turkish team, Steinberg spent two seasons in the Italian team “Umana Reyer” in Venice. Before going to Italy, Ainars Zvirgdiņš spent the Steinberg season in the then trained “Mithra Castors” team in Brena, helping it to win the Belgian championship title.

Steinberg’s career began with the TTT Riga team, but from 2009 to 2013 he played for the National College Sports Association’s (NCAA) C-USA conference at the University of Texas at El Paso in the UTEP Miners team. After that, she represented “Mithra Castors” in the 2014/2015 season, together with Zvirgzdins helping the team to reach the finals of the FIBA ​​European Cup and triumph in the Belgian championship. She started the next season in the Russian team “Chevakata” in Vologda, but in February 2016 joined the Prague ZVVZ USK ranks, winning the fourth place in the Czech team for two years in a row in the Euroleague and becoming the national champion.

Steinberg has represented the Latvian national team in three European championships and the 2018 World Cup. He has been in the national team in 76 games, in which he scored on average 10.4 points, won 6.0 balls under the baskets and made 1.2 assists.

Steinberg is the winner of two bronze medals at the European U-20 Championships.
