As we already reported, on March 30, 2020 Steam beat 23 million of its players at the same time. And after four days, Valve was able to break another record. According to official Steam statistics, there were 24,157,126 players online.
It is really interesting to look at the top 10 games by the number of simultaneous players and compare with the previous ones. As we see CS: GO, DOTA 2 and Pubg remain in the first three places. Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord was able to take fourth place, and Grand theft auto 5 is now in fifth place. Rainbow six siege in sixth place, and Rust I managed to take seventh place. Football Manager 2020 is in eighth place, and ARK: Survival Evolved – in ninth place. Finally, in tenth place was Monster hunter worldbut just took his place Destiny 2.
I wonder if Steam can hit 25 million simultaneous players. As we can clearly see, the peak number is slightly above the 24 million mark. So yes, it may take some time until we see how Steam breaks this record.
