On November 21, Bac Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi City) said they had issued a decision to temporarily detain two subjects, Le Van Nam (22 years old, residing in Ia Kha town, Ia Grai district, Gia Lai province). Specific information about the robbery from Lao Dong: Previously, on November 19, Bac Tu Liem District Police received a report from Mr. TTP (born 2005, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province) about the robbery. was stopped by two young men, threatened with a knife and robbed of a Honda Airblade motorbike and an iPhone 11 Promax phone in the area of new road towards Cau Noi, Lien Xa road towards Tay Tuu (Minh Khai ward, Bac district Tu Liem).
In just 24 hours, the Bac Tu Liem District Police force in coordination with the Criminal Police Department – Hanoi City Police quickly arrested two suspects responsible for the above robbery. The authorities also confiscated related exhibits to return to the people.
During the investigation, it was determined that Nam and Lam rented a room together in Tan Trieu commune (Thanh Tri district, Hanoi). Because they had no money to spend, they discussed going out at night to rob property.
At about 3:00 a.m. on November 19, the subjects discovered that Mr. TTP was driving a motorbike alone in the opposite direction. Nam and Lam forced his car to the right side of the road.
When Mr. TTP got out of the car, Lam took a sharp knife, about 20cm long, out of his shirt pocket, pointed it at him, threatened him, and forced him to steal his motorbike and cell phone.
Because the road was deserted, Mr. TTP asked Lam and Nam to take him near the motel room. When he reached the end of Van Tien Dung street, Mr. TTP jumped out of the car and shouted “robber, robber”. Lam and Nam immediately accelerated and ran away.
At about 6:00 a.m. the same day, Nam and Lam took the stolen motorbike to Tu Dan commune (Khái Chau district, Hung Yen province) to pledge 20 million VND, divide it between them for personal use, and their cell phones. Men use it.
On November 20, Nam and Lam were arrested by Bac Tu Liem District Police while hiding in a motel room.
