Şırnak Governorate made a statement regarding allegations of sexual assault on a 13-year-old girl, a specialist sergeant named AA, on a site in the city center.

The following statements were used in the statement that expert sergeant AA was detained;
“In the call that came to 155 notification lines at 01.00 hours on 15.07.2020, Police teams were transferred to the scene after the warning that a person who was disturbing the citizens was beaten by the citizens in the center, and the public official named AA at the scene of the incident It was determined that he was alcoholic, and that he displayed inappropriate attitudes and actions that would disturb the environment, and the person mentioned was taken into custody. The necessary judicial investigation has been initiated by the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the issue, and the subject person, whose administrative investigation has been initiated, has been suspended from the duty of the judicial and administrative investigations. ”

Şırnak Bar Association also made a statement regarding the incident. In the statement emphasized that the incident was closely followed, the following statements were included;
* At 23:00 on 14.07.2020, the process of the child’s sexual abuse incident against child H. was transferred to the judicial authorities and the process was closely followed, and efforts were made to include the statements of the victims, witness statements and camera evidence at midnight.
* Due to the fact that the perpetrator of the incident was a public official, our victimization increased even more.
* By repeating once again that we stand against every attack against the child; We respectfully present to the public that we follow closely in order to reveal all aspects of the event.

On the other hand, Nuşirevan Elçi, the Chairman of the Şırnak Bar Association, shared on the social media.
Stating that they are followers of the subject, Elçi said, “Our colleagues who are members of the board of directors and human rights center are following the incident so that the action of the person named expert sergeant AA, who has sexually harassed the 13-year-old little girl in Şırnak, is not following the incident.”
