State Agricultural and Food Inspection uncovers shocking violations in Lidl store in the Czech Republic

Anyone who has ever traveled beyond our borders and visited one of the stores there within the chain of stores known in the Czech Republic will surely tell us that they are completely different worlds. While abroad you can usually find a well-stocked and tidy supermarket with reasonable prices, in the Czech Republic everything is in disarray and the prices are ridiculously inflated.

Everything wrong

It is therefore only good that the activities of even the biggest players on the Czech market have been focused on by the State Agricultural and Food Inspection, which is already up to its neck in various violations of the rules. The last time she had to intervene in a big way was in Lidl in Pardubice, where there was a really outrageous mess.

Mouse droppings and dirt were found in the store. As a result, the entire store had to be completely closed, even if only temporarily, and today it is back in business, after everything was put in order.

Inspectors encountered mouse droppings and dirt in various places in the back of the store. Specifically, it was a warehouse of packaged food and non-food goods where excrement was found in many places on the floor, along the walls or on pallets, she informed inspection quite extensively on his twitter account.

It wasn’t the first time

Unfortunately, it turned out that the droppings were also in the preparation room for finishing the baking of pastries, which is particularly serious, as there it could have already come into contact with the food that people will subsequently buy. “Feces and dirt were also found on the sales floor. Specifically, on the floor behind the pallet with mineral water and milk and then under the self-service refrigerated display case located at the entrance to the warehouse, she stated SZPI.

At the same time, this is far from the first case of this kind that took place in Lidl or in another retail chain. Coincidentally, it was also in Pardubice, where the Kaufland warehouse had to be closed repeatedly due to something very similar.
