At a time when LucasArts was still publishing games, a certain Star Wars Episode I: Racer had its appearance on PC, Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast. A very nice Pod driving experience that will have marked many players, so much so that the Aspyr firm has embarked on the development of a “remaster”.
Do not expect really modernized graphics, but this port PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch will at least have the merit of reviving some good memories. If you want to push nostalgia a little further, know that Limited Run Games will open the pre-orders for its physical edition from next July 10. For four weeks, you can therefore pre-purchase your copy by choosing from three versions. The Standard Edition will simply include the game for a price which should be around $ 30, while the Classic Edition ($ 59.99) will be accompanied by a retro box, a poster and a commemorative N64 cartridge (not -functional). Finally, for the biggest fans, the Collector’s Edition ($ 89.99) will add to this a certificate of authenticity, a pin, cards, a metal part, a steelbook and a manual including artworks.
