Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 421 people who are infected with Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving necessary medical care and recovering according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total number of people recovering from the virus to 18,881 cases until today.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the Ministry, stated that 1503 new cases have been proven positive for laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the surveillance, investigation and necessary examinations conducted by the Ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 81 new cases.
Mujahid said that, according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days of infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Coruna virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Wednesday, is 69,814 cases, including 18,881 cases that have been cured, and 3034 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates of the Republic, follow the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona” virus, and take all necessary preventive measures against any viruses or infectious diseases, and the ministry has allocated a number of means of communication to receive citizens’ inquiries about the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases Including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Health Egypt” application available on phones.
