Stabbed coffee owner 15 times (until razor left) to steal in Braga

The independent movement For Our Land won today the midterm elections in the Union of Parishes of Caniçada and Soengas, Vieira do Minho, with 306 votes, against the 110 achieved by the PS.

Nine white votes and five null votes were also registered.

With these elections, João Rocha was reappointed as chairman of the Parish Council, a position he already held.

The midterms resulted from the resignation of several members of the Assembly and the Parish Council elected in 2017 on the only list that was then submitted to suffrage, headed by João Rocha.

Joao Rocha did not resign from the Board.

The resignations came after “disagreements” between the elected members of the Board and the Parish Assembly, resulting, inter alia, from “doubts” raised about a check of 2,000 euros and a donation of 6,000 euros from a private individual to make a way.

According to João Rocha, “rumors and comments” began to circulate that in the two parishes that attacked the dignity, honor and good name of the executive members.

In September, and in the face of discomfort, layoffs took place at the Parish Assembly and two members of the Board, paving the way for today’s midterm elections.

João Rocha was again a candidate for the independent movement for Our Earth.

The PS list was headed by Clara Malainho Carneiro.
