SSV Ulm brings Lukas Ahrend from Fürth

The SSV Ulm 1846 football has committed its fourth newcomer for the coming season. Lukas Ahrend comes to the Spatzen from the SpVgg Greuther Fürth II.

Ahrend captained the second team from Fürth in the past regional league season, and now the 22-year-old is joining SSV Ulm after surviving relegation. After 57 games in the Regionalliga Bayern, he will play in the Regionalliga Südwest in the future.

“Lukas made it into the regional league as captain with SpVgg. Greuther Fürth II,” said Ulm’s managing director Markus Thiele in the course of the transfer and then continued: “He has enjoyed an excellent education and has already achieved a lot at his young age We have gained experience. We are very pleased that he has now decided to step up to the SSV Ulm 1846 football team. With his profile as a young player with potential to develop, he suits us very well.”

Ahrend was trained in the youth teams of FC Schalke 04 and 1. FC Nürnberg, in the future he will play for Ulm with the number eight. The defensive midfielder has signed with the Spatzen until 2024. “I’m happy to be able to wear the jersey of SSV Ulm from the new season,” said Ahrend, “I will do everything to achieve the club’s goals together with the team, the coaching team and – most importantly – the fans. ”
