Former chairman Kim Seong-tae, the real owner of Ssangbangwool Group, who was arrested in Thailand, will enter the country tomorrow morning.
With former Chairman Kim’s entry into the country, it is expected that the prosecution’s investigation into the ssangbangwool, which has been sluggish, will speed up.

Kim Seong-tae, former chairman of Ssangbangwool Group, who was arrested in Thailand while fleeing abroad, will enter Korea tomorrow morning through Incheon International Airport.
Former Chairman Kim is scheduled to arrive at Incheon International Airport around 8:00 am after being arrested on an airplane at a local airport in Thailand tomorrow.
Since the prosecution must request an arrest warrant within 48 hours after the arrest warrant is executed, it is expected that the prosecution will quickly continue the investigation of former chairman Kim and request an arrest warrant on the 18th.
Considering the special nature of the Ssangbangwool case with many accomplices, the prosecution plans to prevent interviews with anyone other than the lawyer during the detention period.
Currently, investigations related to former chairman Kim include various cases such as breach of trust and embezzlement, violation of the Capital Market Act, bribery, destruction of evidence, and suspicion of remittance to North Korea.
The prosecution believes that all of these charges and allegations were led or directed by former chairman Kim, and plans to confirm them one by one against former chairman Kim.
In particular, former Chairman Kim’s statement is needed to clarify the suspicion of paying attorney fees related to Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party’s representative.
However, in an interview in Thailand, former chairman Kim denied the allegations, saying, “I had no opportunity to meet CEO Lee, and my life was ruined because of Lee Jae-myung.”
CEO Lee also said, “I’ve never seen the face of a person named Kim Seong-tae, and if it’s a relationship, the only thing I can do is buy underwear.”
As a result, it is noteworthy how the suspicions related to Lee will be concluded in the prosecution’s investigation.
