In Sri Lanka, social platforms on the Internet were blocked a few hours after the start of a nationwide curfew. Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube and Instagram can no longer be reached in the usual way, the non-governmental organization Netblocks said on Sunday. In the capital Colombo, soldiers with assault rifles and police checkpoints monitored compliance with the curfew in force until Monday.
