Spurs legend Jimmy Greaves (81) passed away | Football

sport">Greaves scored 266 goals in 379 games for the London team, 220 of which were in competition. Harry Kane, the current Spurs top scorer, is second on the all-time top scorers list with 223 goals.

sport">Greaves was part of England’s World Cup squad at the 1966 World Cup in his own country. The Spurs striker, who scored 44 goals in 57 international matches, was injured during that tournament. His replacement Geoff Hurst became the hero of the English, by scoring three goals in the final against West Germany (4-2).

sport">Greaves also played for Chelsea, AC Milan and West Ham United, among others. The Spurs thanked their all-time top scorer in 1972 with a so-called testimonial game against Feyenoord at White Hart Lane.
