Until now we knew that this device was called “Car Thing”, but we hardly had any data on it. But things have changed. More than anything because this new gadget from Spotify has just appeared in the FCC.

Of course, the truth is that the image that Spotify published at the time has nothing to do with what has been leaked through the American certification agency. Yes, as you will see later, the truth is that the design of this device will not exactly be its strong point.

The truth is that through the FCC we have only been able to see its design and size, but in any case it is not necessary to have much more information. The reason? This gadget will surely not see the light.

And it is that, just as comment from The Verge, este Car Thing is a Spotify experiment to learn how users use their service while driving. They will probably distribute a series of limited units among company workers to see how they behave inside a vehicle when using their streaming music platform.

Of course, it is also true that Spotify will probably end up releasing a user version that, we hope, has a much more attractive design.
