Spotify continues to bet on its podcast activities. The latest addition in this area is Podz, a start-up that aims to make it easier to discover new podcasts. The company’s technology automatically creates podcast preview clips by using machine learning to analyze the recording to string together key moments.
The streaming service has indicated that this technology will be integrated into its own platform. That would make Spotify’s podcast platform a lot faster than others, where podcast creators are supposed to edit their previews themselves. This should especially make it easier for users to browse podcasts, because it should also increase the amount of short preview clips.
