The corona warning level currently applies in Baden-Württemberg. But the alert level could soon be declared. For many recreational athletes, this could have far-reaching consequences.
2G or a negative PCR test – this is currently the prerequisite for doing sports in closed rooms. This is what the current corona warning level in Baden-Württemberg provides. If the alarm level is declared in the coming days, non-immunized people are only allowed to do sports outside and with a negative PCR test. Only 2G then applies indoors. On Saturday (November 13th) the number of COVID-19 cases in intensive care units was 372. Should the number exceed 390 on two consecutive working days, the alert level will come into effect.
For some sports clubs, the additional restrictions in the alert level do not represent a major change to the current situation. Because: Already now, almost only those who have been vaccinated or recovered come to fitness studios. This is what Stefan Maier, head of the SSC Karlsruhe fitness and health studio, experiences: “We already have 2G in the warning level because nobody comes with a PCR test,” says Maier and adds: “Nobody does a PCR test. Test for 50-60 euros upwards, just to go to the gym or a Pilates class for an hour. “
