The activity in progress in an area equipped with an outdoor gym was suspended by the police. The agents intervened in the Viale Epipoli area, after dozens of reports. In the open square, several people were intent on training using the tools available. Fifteen people were sanctioned for violating the regulations regarding the enhanced red zone. Gym managers also fined for violating anti-covid provisions.
The manager specifies to SiracusaOggi.it that the activity has not been the subject of any closure order. “Fines have been high for travel that was not deemed authorized. At the moment I don’t have any closing minutes. The practice of outdoor sports seems permitted by the provisions in force. Ours is, moreover, an individual sporting practice, with wide distancing and constant use of sanitizing products. However, we have decided to suspend any form of training for the entire duration of the red zone ”.
In total, 140 people were checked during the anti-covid checks carried out in the capital, 34 self-certifications were withdrawn and another 4 people sanctioned for violating the anti-assembly rules.
