Sport and social inclusion, the meeting of mountain lovers without barriers in the Brenta Dolomites

It is one of the main gatherings for snow and mountain lovers of all ages, expert or novice skiers, it doesn’t matter, but also for families, school groups and people with disabilities, strictly in the name of fun, of the desire to be together and sport for all, breaking down every obstacle to inclusion.

Until next Sunday, March 17, the Brenta Dolomites will host the 46th edition of NeveUisp, an event organized by the national sector of the Uisp association (Italian Union of Sport for All) in collaboration with ApT Val di Sole. There will be over 700 participants from all over Italy .

“NeveUisp represents an excellent opportunity to promote the area through numerous initiatives, discover its most evocative corners with excursions and appreciate its culinary tradition: the link between sport, tourism and gastronomy is a peculiar trait of Val di Sole”, underlines Luciano Rizzi, president of ApT Val di Sole.

Inside the Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta Val di Sole Val Rendena ski area – more specifically at Marilleva 1400 and at Passo Campo Carlo Magno – a series of activities are planned which range from skiing to snowboarding, from ice skating to snowshoe excursions, from climbing to other disciplines that can be practiced in the gym and on the snow. Furthermore, a specially equipped playground will be available for children.

Thursday 14 March, space for culture: at the TH Hotel in Marilleva (at 5pm) the book “Psychiatry as protagonists” by Paolo Giovanazzi and Andrea Puecher will be presented: the text recounts the direct experiences of the authors of the book with the Psychiatric Services of Trento. A touching personal journey that becomes an opportunity to gather stimuli, new ideas and actions useful for building an increasingly attentive and aware social fabric on the topic of mental health. There will be approximately one hundred boys and girls from different schools throughout Italy.

Saturday and Sunday the highlight of the event: the slopes of the ski area will host the 62nd edition of the Uisp national alpine skiing championships. An event that, year after year, attracts generations of skiers to the slopes: the giant slalom event is scheduled for Saturday 16th, the special slalom event the following day (both starting at 9am), with awards to follow. Among the collateral initiatives, there is also a tour of the villages of Val di Sole on board the special train that will leave from Marilleva 900.

The event is reserved for Uisp members. All the information can be found here.
