Beating case dog with wooden beams to death in Bali makes a scene. The perpetrators have now been arrested by the police.
This case stems from the circulation of video footage which shows someone torturing dogs by smothering and then beating using wooden blocks in Bali. The dog then dies and is put in a sack.
According to the Chairman of the Bali Animal Defender Jovania Imanuel Calvary, the persecution of the dog occurred in the Griya Park area, Nusa Dua, Bali, Thursday (6/25) afternoon. At that time, dog owners were doing church services.
“Yes, it is absolutely right at Taman Griya, Nusa Dua. I have talked with the owner,” Jovania said when asked to confirm on Friday (6/26).
Dog owner with the initials DR (26) reported the persecution to the police. The animal lover group accompanied the DR to make a report to the South Kuta Sector Police.
“Just now we reported there (South Kuta Sector Police). (Report made) on behalf of the owner because the owner was injured,” said an animal lover, Tio Russ, when asked for confirmation on Friday (6/26).
The report was received with the reporting number STPL / 1475 / VI / 2020 / Bali / Resta Dps / Sek.Kutsel dated Friday (6/26). The case was reported with allegations of pet theft and abuse of animals.
After days of investigations, the police finally succeeded in arresting the perpetrators. Four people were arrested by the police.
“When it was secured, the perpetrators admitted their actions and without resistance,” said South Kuta Police Chief AKP Yusak Agustinus Saaoi when asked for confirmation on Sunday (6/28).
