The Marvel film may have been shown in Dutch cinemas for three days, but most fans have Spider-Man: No Way Home probably haven’t seen it yet. Apart from visiting foreign cinemas, there was no other opportunity to see the film.
It is hard to imagine that OMT chairman Jaap van Dissel and Prime Minister Rutte with primary responsibility will keep the cinemas closed any longer, but of course it could always be done. Then the fans would have to wait even longer.
From February 28 on VOD, but already leaked
Only on February 28 would No Way Home become available digitally (in the States), but now it appears via Small Screen that a High Definition version of the film has surfaced online.
Now we do not encourage people to engage in illegal activities, but it is not inconceivable that fans would prefer an illegal download due to closed doors. Especially the fans who have been able to avoid the spoilers in recent weeks and don’t feel like waiting anymore.
There is a possibility that the leak is caused by the most likely “For Your Consideration” copies circulating. Sony Pictures hopes to win the necessary awards with the acclaimed Marvel film.
