Spézet Youth Council Visits Regional Council in Rennes – Inside Look at the Hemicycle

Wednesday February 28, 2024, six young elected officials from the municipal youth council (CMJ) of Spézet, accompanied by two facilitators from the Youth Info service and three municipal elected officials, left by minibus for Rennes to visit the regional council. They took the metro for lunch in the city center before heading to the Hôtel de Courcy, the headquarters of the Region.

Visit to the hemicycle

They were welcomed by Gaby Cadiou, president of the youth, equal rights and citizenship commission, as well as three high school students from the regional youth council. They explained to them the role of the institution as well as their function.

The Spézetois group visited the premises and the hemicycle. The young people also discovered works of art, including a monumental work in polychrome ceramic and sandstone more than 8 m long created by the ceramist Pierre Toulhoat, whose daughter, Marie, is also a ceramist in… Spézet!

Practical

Applications for the next term of the CMJ in Spézet must be submitted before Friday March 8, the last deadline at the town hall, for young people in CM1, CM2, sixth and fifth grade living in the town.
