A surprise in the third race. For the first time this season, Jaimon Lidsey came on track and … won! The Australian unexpectedly found himself in the original composition, and replaced him in the average performing his compatriot Brady Kurtz.
In the fourth race the guests won and made up for some of the losses. It was going to be an even match. Nothing of that.
In the fifth race, another surprise. Lidsey won and saved the hosts at that moment. Lubliners fiercely attacked, but the 21-year-old did not give up and there was no match draw. This shows that the beginning was really promising for Motor. If it wasn’t for Lidsey’s sensational attitude, the guests could even drive.
In the sixth race, the hosts brought Hampel back to earth. Hampel initially led, but it ended with a 5: 1 for Unia. Again, the month that fought so beautifully here a year ago did not count.
The motor woke up in eleventh gear. He even led 5: 1, but Hampel failed to keep second position and was only 4: 2 for the guests.
In the end, Unia coach Piotr Baron experimented a bit with the squad, but even this did not allow Motor to reduce the losses enough to be able to think about the bonus in the rematch.
All in all, the meeting disappointed. It seemed that the guests had names that would cause a lot more emotion. Certainly there were no running wins in their ranks. Not once did Jarosław Hampel or Grigory Łaguta cross the finish line in the first position. Adolescents also looked sluggishly. Paweł Mies missed his chance and it is almost certain that Jakub Jamróg will follow him in the next match. The Slovene Matej Zagar showed surprisingly well, and in the second half also Mikkel Michelsen.
As far as the Union is concerned, the absolute bull’s eye turned out to be betting on Jaimon Lidsey. The young Australian made a sensation. If he continues to drive like this, Brady Kurtz will not be back for a long time seven.
– If everyone rode with us at the level they want to go, the result would be even better. There is nothing to hurry optimism. We are highly motivated and want to win. I did worse earlier, and today Kołodziej, if it were otherwise, the results would be even higher. There is nothing to complain about. There is a win and another sure win.
