Possible specifications of the next Canon EOS M camera have been leaked again. Among other things, this should receive an IBIS.
New EOS M cameras 2020
Canon is very likely to have two new EOS M cameras in the making, as rumors have suggested several times in the past few weeks. And even if the two recently registered Canon cameras Shouldn’t it be about the two new EOS M models, then it is likely that we will see at least one new mirrorless system camera with APS-C sensor this year.
New specifications surfaced
A few days ago, new rumors about the specifications of one of the two Canon EOS M cameras leaked. It is still unclear whether the specifications are really correct in this form, and it is not yet known exactly to which of the two new EOS M cameras the data refer. Either way, the specifications read pretty well on paper.
First of all, the new Canon EOS M camera should work with a 32 megapixel sensor, so it will most likely be the sensor that we already know from the Canon EOS M6 Mark II. Furthermore, a 5-axis image stabilizer (short: IBIS) and the 2nd generation dual-pixel autofocus are to be used. These are features that recently impressed the Canon EOS R5 and Canon EOS R6.
There is also talk of a new DIGIC processor, an integrated electronic viewfinder and a series image speed of 12 fps. The new EOS M should record videos in 4K at 60 frames per second, while full HD videos should be possible at 120 fps. In addition, the camera should also offer space for two SD memory cards. Sounds like a DSLM with an attractive overall package.
