Tom was on the 47th floor of the North Tower. He ran up the stairs and reached the underground levels of the skyscraper. Then the South Tower collapsed and he was buried in tons of debris.

He says he thinks every day about what happened on September 11th. He remembers how scared he was. How he thought he would not celebrate his little boy’s birthday and never see the child his wife was pregnant with.
“I was definitely lucky. At the same time, the attacks changed my life. I became part of September 11th. And that date became part of me. “
