special | The Beginning of Pokémon Legend: Arceus – With the release approaching, more and more players are excited to start playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Now that Game Freak has made the standard mobile game as we’ve known it for years, it’s now also tasked with creating something completely different on the Switch. Previously, these titles were outsourced, such as Pokémon Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness, developed by Genius Sonority. The separate games in the world of Pokémon naturally also include special Pokémon offers to kick off your adventure, and in this article we provide a brief overview of these new games.

This doesn’t mean that the selection of special Pokémon you encounter in this game isn’t tightly woven into the story. Professor Lavington, the Pokémon master who will talk to you in this game, has brought some of his journeys from afar. Different regions of the Pokémon world are now represented in the game. We have Cyndaquil from Johto District, Rowlet from Alola District and Oshawott from Unova District. Each Pokemon is famous, each has strengths and weaknesses.

Go down in Johto

First, there’s Cyndaquil, a cute fire Pokemon that takes inspiration from what we know as Echidna. What sets Cyndaquil apart is the fire that shoots out of her back, like the thorns on a hedgehog. The big advantage for Cyndaquil as a rookie was that he had reached his second level, Quilava, at level 14. That was very fast. The latest development, Typhlosion, will have to wait a little longer. You only see it at level 36. However, the wait is worth it: Typhlosion is still one of the most powerful fire Pokemon you can get in the game.

Cyndaquil appears as a rookie in the second generation of Pokémon games consisting of Gold, Silver, and then Crystal. This generation of Pokémon games is often viewed by fans as the best in the series, in part because of the presence of Pokémon in the game. What really impresses a lot of fans is the fact that once you’ve dealt with all the gym leaders and completed the Johto Pokémon League, you can get on a boat to Kanto. Here you can compete with 8 gym leaders from previous Pokémon games and also beat the Pokémon League there. The Pokémon you have to fight are of high standards and cute, so the challenge is nothing less than that.

Roulette is a half grass, half bird Pokemon. This might make these cute owls a little weak early in the game, especially since this group has several weaknesses. At level 17, roulette has evolved into Dartrix, a more mature owl who unfortunately still has the same kind of roulette. But at level 34, waiting is rewarded and Dartrix evolves into Decidueye which is a half herbal, half ghost type. As a result, Decidueye has several distinct weaknesses from its previous form, but its unique combination makes it a very special Pokemon with extraordinary powers against certain species.

Roulette first appeared in the Pokémon Sun and Moon group in the Alola region. By the way, this wasn’t the only game staged in the Alola region, as Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon followed – which resolved some of the gripes players had with the original title. It was also the last Pokémon game to be released for the Nintendo 3DS before the series completely shifted its focus to the Nintendo Switch. The Alola area is also special because of its style that deviates from the usual Pokemon games. Instead of defeating eight gym leaders, you’ll have to go through eight challenges on the island, where you’ll have to compete against totem Pokémon, which are more powerful than the regular version. After passing the island challenges, you are allowed to compete with the island Kahuna, who is actually a kind of gym leader under a different guise.

Unova, Minova, Everything Nova

Lastly there is Oshawott, the cute sea otter. While it’s still a powerful water pokemon, it won’t be the first choice for many players. It’s usually very easy to get Pokemon Water in Pokemon games. At level 17, Oshawott evolves into Dewott who still looks like a beaver, and at level 36 he becomes Samurott. This also makes it a Pokemon you should be patient with when it comes to evolution. The samurot is very much like a sea lion, but like a lighter, it sticks only to its own kind: water.

Unova was the first area where Game Freak looked for designs outside of Japan, taking inspiration from major American cities like New York and others. Pokémon Black and White is somewhat darker in terms of story than its predecessors, which is causing question marks among many fans. This later became clearer when Pokémon Black and White 2, a direct sequel two years after the events of the original game, appeared. This is also the closing date for the Pokémon game for the Nintendo DS. While the Black and White saga hasn’t been warmly received by everyone, Unova fans will be happy to see at least an acting presence. But maybe Game Freak is also trying to motivate us to remake these titles, as pointed out Diamonds and Pearls It was only their turn. Time will answer.

The launch of Pokemon Legends: Arceus is just around the corner. On January 28th, we were finally able to start a whole new kind of Pokemon game. Anyway, we’ve pretty much speculated about which start we’ll choose to explore for Hisui. While the fire power of a Pokemon like Cyndaquil is naturally appealing, Rowlet’s special type combos and evolutions are also worth considering. But for the same money, Hisui barely knows which water Pokémon and Oshawott is an excellent choice. We continue to speculate, but of course we want to know what you think about this matter.
