Financial results for the third quarter of Take-Two They couldn’t be more encouraging and positive. The company does not release games on a constant basis and focuses on games from the triple A segment mainly such as Grand Theft Auto V or Red Dead Redemption 2.
The company has reported multi-million dollar sales for two of its games in recent months. Grand Theft Auto V has already surpassed a whopping 140 million copies sold worldwide since it was released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2013. Strauss ZelnickTake-Two CEO also highlighted the good sales of Red Dead Redemption 2, which has been sold since a total of 36 million copies sold.
De GTA V a GTA San Andreas
Strauss Zelnick was asked about the possibility of seeing remasters of his highest-grossing games like GTA San Andreas, something that I neither confirm nor deny but which I do consider as a very interesting question:
It is an excellent and encouraging question. I’m inclined to leave it there more as a statement than a question, and any updates on our release schedule will come directly from Rockstar Games.
It is not the first time that the release of a remastered version of GTA San Andreas has been rumored, but as always when it comes to Rockstar Games titles, the silence is absolute and if it is true we will not know its development until they make it official.
At the moment what is certain is that the new version of GTA V will arrive on Xbox this year, so for now this would be officially the next step in the saga.
