Elon Musk’s company delayed takeoff to not coincide with the launch of the sixth mission of the X-37B spacecraft from the same cosmodrome.

The American company SpaceX has delayed one day the launch of its Falcon 9 rocket with another batch of 60 Starlink satellites, according ad the company on Twitter.
SpaceX was planning to launch its new satellites at 7:53 GMT this Sunday, May 17, from the SLC-40 launch complex in Cape Canaveral, Florida, but decided to postpone it, after the day before another aerospace company, United Launch Alliance ( ULA), postponed one day the launch of an Atlas V rocket with the sixth mission of the secret spacecraft X-37B, also known as an ‘orbital test vehicle’ (OTV-6).
At the moment, the launch of the Falcon 9 is scheduled for 7:32 GMT next Monday.

Starlink is an initiative advanced by the Elon Musk company with the purpose of creating a massive ‘constellation’ of 42,000 satellites to provide Internet access in every corner of the Earth.
The spaceship X-37B unmanned remains an asset of the Department of the Air Force, but also of the new US Space Force. now responsible for launch, orbit operations and landing.
