The crew of the International Space Station (ISS) on Friday had to move and lock themselves in the Russian orbital segment while searching for the origin of an air leak detected on Thursday.

“The closure of the hatches of the US segment and the hatch between both segments has been carried out,” the press service of the Russian Space Agency, known as Roscomos, told Sputnik.

In this sense, the agency has explained that the “crew will remain in this area until Monday night” while trying to solve the problem.

During this period of time, a pressure control will be carried out in the different modules of the segment to find the place of the leak and solve it.
