By the end of the year, the Ukrainian currency will fall in price to 29 hryvnia per dollar, according to the agency’s analysts.

The international rating agency S&P Global Ratings predicts the hryvnia exchange rate of 29.5 per dollar at the end of 2021. This is stated in the agency’s review.

At the same time, in 2022, the hryvnia exchange rate is projected at 30 per dollar, in 2023 – 30.5 hryvnia per dollar, and at the end of 2024 – 31 hryvnia per dollar.

Inflation this year is projected at 7.7%, in 2022 – 5.5% and in 2023 and 2024 – 5% each.

GDP growth this year is expected at 4%, next year – 3.5%, in 2023 and 2024 at 3%.

Nominal GDP over the years, respectively, is projected at $ 156 billion, $ 165 billion, 176 billion and 187 billion dollars.

Unlike many other European countries, Ukraine’s GDP proved to be relatively resilient to the global pandemic last year, as the service sectors most at risk due to social distancing (arts, entertainment, recreation, retail, accommodation and catering) are about 2% of GDP.

Note, according to the forecasts of the Cabinet of Ministers, in the next three years the dollar exchange rate will not exceed 30 hryvnia… In the worst case, the dollar will exceed UAH 30 in 2024, and in the best case, it will not exceed UAH 29.2.

At the moment, the official exchange rate of the hryvnia is set at 27.6 per dollar.
