South Florida: Fireworks return on July 4. We tell you where

After switching to a virtual format last year due to the pandemic, the city of West Palm Beach will bring back the popular 4th of Flagler 7-10 p.m. Sunday, July 4 along the West Palm Beach Boardwalk (Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard and Fern Street). The event will feature refreshments for purchase, traveling entertainment, the inaugural Bill Bone 5K, a patriotic salute and a fireworks display. Entertainment will include stilt walkers, jugglers, cartoons, a chalk art drawing by The Chalk Guys and Supercar Week’s “Drive-in 4th,” a luxury car show. The Centennial Fountain will exhibit “Salute our CommUNITY”, a light and music show, from 8 to 10 pm Live music will take place at two different venues from 7-10 pm Remix, a local Top 40 band, will perform on the NewDay USA Stage, while a DJ plays a set near Post Park. Mayor Keith A. James will deliver a speech from the Palm Stage at 8:45 pm, followed by the Palm Beach Health Network 2021 Hometown Heroes announcement and a patriotic presentation. Fireworks they will shoot at 9:09 pm over the Intracoastal Waterway. WPBF Ch. 25 will broadcast the fireworks live as part of the “WPBF 25: 4TH ON FLAGLER LIVE FIREWORKS show that can be seen on Comcast channels 10 and 431, on Direct TV / Dish Network / AT & T U-Verse Ch .25, and over the air on channel 25-1 at 9 pm The broadcast will also be broadcast live on wpbf.com and on the news app WPBF 25. Fireworks music will be simulcast live on stations. 97.9 WRMF, SUNNY 107.9, X 102.3, New Country 103.1, PARTY 96.3, Fox Sports 640 South Florida and News Talk 850 WFTL.
