SOURCES New details behind the scenes of the PNL-PSD / Rareș Bogdan negotiations: Marcel, good people, we cannot go to the party without at least one of the three ministries of investment: Finance, Transport or Development

PNL leaders are dissatisfied that they are losing ground in the negotiations for the formation of the government, because the ministries with important budgets are claimed by PSD, sources close to the talks told G4Media.ro.

According to them, Marcel Ciolacu told the Liberals on Thursday night that he wants finances and transport, and the first vice-president of PNL told him at one point: “Marcel, give us a ministry, whatever”. Bogdan and other liberals would have demanded the Ministry of Justice, only Florin Cîțu would have claimed the Ministry of Finance for PNL. Marcel Ciolacu allegedly told them that they could eventually take over the ministry of European funds.

Other PNL sources claim that Rareș Bogdan would have told Ciolacu: “Marcel, good people, me and my colleagues cannot go to the party without at least one of the 3 ministries of investments: Finance, Transport or Development”.

The PSD members would have sent him to argue with UDMR, not them, because if PNL takes the prime minister it is natural for PSD to take the finances and if the liberals are not satisfied and want for them the finances and transports and the general secretary of the government then to cede the position of prime minister to the PSD.

According to the quoted sources, the liberals fear that the PNL could remain only with those ministries that interest Klaus Iohannis.

The negotiations on Thursday evening would have been led by Nicolae Ciucă, the PNL’s prime minister, but he would have spoken only towards the end, when the social measures were discussed. Florin Cîțu would have said that he does not agree with the very big impact of the measures proposed by PSD on the social side, because this would endanger the fiscal-budgetary stability. However, other sources claim that the PNL leader is absent from the negotiations and frustrated that he lost his position as prime minister.

On Thursday evening, PSD and PNL had a new round of negotiations, and today at noon the discussions on the governing program and the division of ministries will continue. The leaders of the two parties announced on Thursday evening that the new government will be installed by next Thursday.
