Sonya Deville suffers a kidnapping attempt last night

As reported by the newspaper Tampa Bay Times, a man has been arrested in the house WWE Superstar, Sonya Deville. Philip A. Thomas II, 24, he would have been spying on the fighter and had been plotting a kidnapping plan for eight months. Thomas, would have harassed Deville on social media for years.

According to the Sheriff’s office report, Thomas came from South Carolina and headed straight for his goal. Although at first the identity of the victim was unknown, the Wrestling Observer has been able to confirm that it is Daria Berenato, known in WWE as Sonya Deville.

As the police report explains, Thomas parked his car at Idlewild Baptist Church and walked up to the house, then dug a hole in the yard and waited there for three to four hours, looking and listening through the window. At 2:43 a.m., after Berenato went to bed, Thomas entered the house through a sliding glass door, activating the security alarm. The WWE Superstar spotted the individual at the home and fled along with another person in a car, at which point he called 911.

Thomas was in the house when the police arrived. In his possession, they found a knife, zip ties, duct tape, a mallet, and other items, and he confessed to police that he planned to take the owner hostage.

The individual has been arrested and charged on charges of aggravated harassment, armed robbery, attempted armed kidnapping and criminal conduct. Thomas is in custody without the right to bail.

Sheriff Chad Chronister spoke about the terrifying nature of the crime In a press release: “Our agents are revealing the suspect’s disturbing obsession with the owner whom he had never met, but who he had harassed on social media for years. It’s terrifying to think of all the ways this incident could have unfolded if the home alarm hadn’t gone off and alerted the landlord to the presence of an intruder. “
