[이데일리 노재웅 기자] Sony has decided to delete’Cyberpunk 2077′, which has been controversial over various bugs and defects since its recent release, from the PlayStation (PS) store. In addition, it guided existing buyers through the full refund process.
On the 18th, Sony announced that it will provide a full refund to all users who purchase Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS store through the official website and SNS, and that the game will be removed from the store until further notice.
“We are working hard to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction,” said Sony.
However, the refund guide site guided by Sony is currently not accessible in Korea. There is also no talk of buyers of the disc version.
The console version of Cyberpunk 2077, which was released globally on the 10th, has been subjected to numerous criticisms due to many bugs and defects. Accordingly, the developer CD Project Red announced on the 14th that it will proceed with a refund.
At that time, Sony and Microsoft (MS) refused to refund, saying that there was no separate agreement, but it is expected that the refund will be smoothly available as Sony announces a full refund within 4 days.
Microsoft has not yet announced a refund for Cyberpunk 2077 and is currently selling the game through the Xbox Store.
Following Sony’s decision, Microsoft is expected to announce details related to the Cyberpunk 2077 refund procedure soon.
