JAKARTA – Sony Indonesia officially launched the Alpha 7C camera, which has a lens zoom smallest for hobby photographers as well as professionals. “The new Alpha 7C camera combines various imaging technologies,” said President Director of Sony Indonesia, Kazuteru Makiyama, during the virtual launch, Friday.
The Alpha 7C, the ILCE-7C model, measures 124 x 7.1 x 59.7 millimeters, and weighs 509 grams. Although relatively small and light, the Alpha 7C is equipped with 5-step to make it easier to shoot without a tripod. This camera uses a variable side aperture LCD screen.angle, users can adjust the screen angle as needed, including for selfies.
Sony puts a “movie” button on top for easy access when shooting selfies. The Alpha 7C features a 24.2MP 35 millimeter sensor full-frame, tech back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS and BIONZ X image processing engine.
The Alpha 7C offers wide, fast auto focus, locking directly on the intended subject. Sony uses the AF system 693-point focal-plane phase-detection which could cover 93 percent of the drawing area, plus 425 points contrast-detection to ensure dependable focus even in busy environments.
This camera can produce up to 223 JPEG images, 115 compressed RAW images and 45 uncompressed RAW images. The Sony Alpha 7C also offers a zoom lens full-frame FE 28-60mm F4-5.6, which has a minimum focus distance from 0.3 meters (wide angle) to 0.45 meters for close-up. This lens measures 66.66 millimeters in diameter x 45 millimeters and weighs 167 grams.
To move photos from the camera to a device such as a cellphone, computer or tablet, Sony embeds Wi-Fi and USB-C. The Sony Alpha 7C is marketed for Rp.26,999,000 for the body only and Rp.31,999,000 with the lens kit SEL2860. While the lens zoom FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 will be marketed in January 2021 for IDR 7,999,000.
