Sonos makes free radio streaming service available in Belgium – Image and sound – News

Audio manufacturer Sonos has made its radio streaming service Sonos Radio available in Belgium. The radio service was already available in the Netherlands. The paid version of the service is not yet available in the Benelux.

Belgian users can find Sonos Radio in the S2 app, reports the company. The radio service contains stations from various services, including TuneIn, iHeartRadio and also veteran Napster. According to Sonos, this gives users access to sixty thousand existing channels, both nationally and internationally. The service is free and contains advertisements.

In addition, Sonos in the United States and the United Kingdom is starting a paid, ad-free version of Sonos Radio called Sonos Radio HD. The $ 8-a-month service aims to differentiate itself by offering audio in FLAC format with 16bit / 44.1kHz sound. In the payment service, Sonos also adds new channels, such as channels to fall asleep or to concentrate with, for example, piano music. Sonos Radio has been around since April and is available in the Netherlands since June.
