Vocal symphonic music concert Eternal Light choir While … will be given together with the State Chamber Orchestra Sinfonietta Riga. It will feature music by Latvian composers – Pēteris Butāns Eternal Light and Richard Dubras Silence, Love and Light, but the new work of Jēkabs Jančevskis is at the center of the program Like a song saying in the words of Knut Skujenieks. This is the composer’s dedication to the choir’s anniversary and this evening will have its premiere under the direction of conductor Aivis Greters.
“My intention was to reveal the different characteristics of the choir to the listeners – in addition to high-quality vocal abilities, also the long-term cooperation and stage skills. I continue the path taken by Māris Sirmas and Jānis Liepiņš.
