Son of Former Egyptian President Disputes Israeli Article on Gaza Strip Extension

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Alaa, the son of former Egyptian President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, attacked an opinion article by Eitan Ben Eliyahu, published by the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, on “extending the area of the Gaza Strip to the Arish area and handing over the administration of the sector to Cairo.”

Alaa Mubarak’s comment came on a tweet published by the Mazyad platform on its Twitter page, memory: “The Hebrew newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth”: Israel is considering handing over the administration of the Gaza Strip to Egypt and extending its area with lands from the city of Arish, with the possibility of establishing an independent ‘Gaza state’.”

Alaa replied, “Ahronaut says that Israel is studying with their comfort, but the story of extending its area with Egyptian lands is nonsense and unfounded. There is no such thing as extending its area with Egyptian lands.”

For his part, the Israeli journalist, Eddie Cohen, responded to Alaa Mubarak’s tweet, saying: “Alaa Bey Mubarak’s words are true, and Yedioth Ahronoth is blowing her hair loose. Beware of believing the media other than the spokesperson of the Egyptian army, O Egyptians, long live Egypt, long live Egypt, long live Egypt. The Egyptian media is the most honest media.”
