Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the 17-year-old son of singer Sinead O’Connor has passed away. The world star made this known on Twitter. “My beautiful son, the light of my life, has decided today to end his earthly struggle,” she writes.

Sinead O’Connor’s young son had been missing since Thursday. The police started a search and the singer also called on the boy to contact her. “My world would collapse without you. You are my heart, don’t hurt yourself. Go to the police,” she wrote at the time. The boy was also missing in 2019, when he was 14 years old.
Today the news came that the boy was found dead. Irish police have confirmed that it is O’Connor’s son.
Shane O’Connor’s dad is musician Donal Lunny. Both parents separated shortly after the boy was born.
