It seems like an unwritten law that TV commissioners sooner or later get personally involved in murder cases. This time Chief Inspector Helena Jung got it at “SOKO Cologne”. Her ex-boyfriend Cem Meyer has business and private connections with Charlotte Robert, who is found dead in her “C’est Chocolat” café. The strikingly beautiful woman was pushed and eventually died of a broken neck.
For Helena Jung it is difficult to bear that her beloved Cem was with the pretty Belgian woman and ran the exquisite little business with her. He even got involved with a large amount of money. But that also makes him suspicious. Does Cem have anything to do with the murder? The “SOKO Cologne” team starts the investigation, with the boss getting more and more into a conflict of interests.
Suspicious attraction
At first, Cem is not in the focus. First of all, Charlotte’s landlord Thilo Stark and his wife Linda are suspected. Thilo Stark was extremely impressed by the café owner and even moved his office to the small shop. His wife didn’t like that at all, although she claims otherwise. A shoe print left in liquid chocolate at the scene of the crime, to which Linda Stark can be assigned, corroborates the suspicion against her.

Then the team of investigators discover the secret of the happy chocolate that Charlotte Robert offered. The sweets were drugged. This is where Helena’s ex-boyfriend comes in. In search of answers, Commissioner Cem follows to Antwerp, where everything seems to come together. She hands over the management of the homicide squad to colleague Matti Wagner because of her own bias. Will Helena find access to Cem, who is still offended because she left him?
