SOEs Crowded Debt Hundreds of Trillions to the Government, Here’s the List

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Last week, the government debt was discussed in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) between the Commission VI of the Indonesian Parliament and several BUMNs. Although not all SOEs report, the amount of government debt to SOEs is estimated at hundreds of trillions of rupiah.

Until now, the SOEs that have collected their debts are PT PLN, PT Pertamina, PT Pupuk Indonesia, PT KAI, PT Jasa Marga, Perum Bulog and PT Kimia Farma.

PLN President Director Zulkifli Zaini said the government had a debt of Rp 48 trillion to the company. The debt consists of compensation from 2018 to 2019 of IDR 45 trillion and electricity discounts provided by the government during the Corona pandemic amounting to IDR 3 trillion.
