The election results, in which the turnout was 76.6%, look like this:

  • SDPG – 25.7%;

  • the bloc of the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Unions (CDU / CSU) – 24.1%;

  • party Soyuz-90 / “green” – 14,8%;

  • Free Democratic Party (FDP) – 11.5%;

  • Alternative for Germany – 10,3%;
  • party Left – 4,9%.

At the same time, the last political force gets into parliament only due to the fact that it received three direct mandates in the constituencies.

Thus, the SPD will receive approximately 205-209 seats in the Bundestag, the CDU / CSU – 194-196, the Greens – 116-118, the liberals – 91-93, Alternative for Germany – 84, Left party – 39-40.

Preliminary, the constituent meeting of the new parliament will be held on October 26.

Recall voting in parliamentary elections in Germany took place the day before. The Germans elected the members of the 20th Bundestag. Acting Chancellor Angela Merkel did not participate in the race. She will leave office after the ruling coalition is formed and a new chancellor is appointed.
