Freiburg (AP) – The coach of the Bundesliga soccer club SC Freiburg, Christian Streich, sees politics and society equally responsible for the corona situation in Germany, which has worsened again. If one had taken the “negative advance notice” of science “more seriously, we would not have run into the fourth wave,” said Streich on Friday.

According to Streich, the fact that the number of infections has soared again is due to the mood in the country in the summer: “None of us wanted to hear it anymore, including me, and the politicians no longer wanted to deal with Corona.”

Streich announced that his entire team would get corona booster vaccinations after the last Bundesliga game before Christmas against Bayer Leverkusen on December 19.
