Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – The Bundesliga soccer players of SC Freiburg welcome the decision to continue the season. SC manager Birgit Bauer described the planned resumption of play as “an important step for German women’s football”. The SC women will continue the season on May 30 with a home game against Turbine Potsdam.
After two negative corona test series and the approval of the health department, the Freiburg women got back into team training on Monday. “Now we have a clear goal again, and the anticipation is increasing,” said SC coach Daniel Kraus. “We want to end the rather mixed season in the remaining six games as well as possible.”
