Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – With a home win against 1. FC Union Berlin this Saturday, SC Freiburg want to ensure class retention in the Bundesliga. With 36 points then a descent of the Breisgauer would still be mathematically possible, but hardly imaginable. Most recently, however, coach Christian Streich’s team took just one point from three games.
SC have already lost twice against Union this season, both in the first leg and in the second round of the DFB Cup. The international players Robin Koch and Luca Waldschmidt are available again. Koch recently suffered from gastrointestinal problems, Waldschmidt had complaints about the adductors.
