Jennifer López and Maluma postpone the premiere of their film – Telemundo New York (47)

Jennifer López and Maluma will not premiere the romantic comedy “Marry Me” until May 14, 2021, at which time the studios hope that audiences will be able to see the two Latin stars on the big screen under normal circumstances.

After his success with “Hustlers”, López will return to the cinema with Maluma with a story in which the two artists play a successful couple of singers who break their relationship hours before getting married in front of thousands of followers and after having launched a song about the expected link.

López plays “Kat Valdez”, the singer who, after the breakup, suddenly marries one of her followers, played by Owen Wilson, whom she doesn’t know at all.

Set in New York and directed by Kat Coiro, director of series such as “Shameless” or “Modern Family”, the comedy also has a soundtrack interpreted by López and Maluma.

The film was previously scheduled to open on February 12, 2021, just before Valentine’s Day, but the team has found that late spring seemed like a safer date.

During this summer, Maluma and López had worked together in Miami, Florida, to record new music, including the title track of the film, also titled “Marry Me.”
