The circulation of trains, TER and TGV, will be disrupted this Pentecost weekend due to SNCF Réseau works for the repair of the Manom rail bridge, near Thionville. The line will be closed between Thionville and Bettembourg from Saturday May 27 at 7 a.m. until Tuesday May 30 at 5 a.m. SNCF Voyageurs is setting up a replacement coach service between Thionville and Luxembourg and between Metz and Luxembourg. This work must make it possible to remove existing aprons and install new aprons. A 70-hour “punch” operation during which SNCF Réseau and its partner companies will be mobilized continuously with the aim of resuming rail traffic on Tuesday, May 30 in the morning. The main works, during this Pentecost weekend, will be as follows: shifting of catenaries, removal of tracks, stripping and removal of ballast, removal of metal decks, installation and anchoring of new bedsteads on the abutments and central pier, installation new decks and their anchoring, waterproofing of decks, laying of tracks and restoration of catenaries and railway networks.
