Snakes bit women near Lviv – how to help, video

It is known that women suffered from the bite of a Carpathian viper. And in Ukraine, alas, serums against this snake, it says in the TSN plot.

A young woman named Olga says that that day she was carrying a two-year-old child into the house when she felt that something had stung her in the leg. At first I thought it was a bee, and did not become alarmed. Now she is in the hospital, her limb is swollen and numb.

And 54-year-old Oksana, Olga’s roommate, was stung by a viper in her hand while she weeded flowers near the yard. She immediately saw the viper, called her son, who provided first aid to her. Oksana says that the son cut open the wound, tried to squeeze out the poison, but it is not necessary to do so.

Now women are not in danger, patients are treated symptomatically. And in Ukraine there is no serum against the bite of the Carpathian viper.

Note that for humans, the bite of an ordinary viper is considered potentially dangerous, but extremely rarely fatal.

If you saw a snake nearby, your actions

  • First of all, do not panic and do not make sudden movements, calmly leave.
  • Be careful in potentially dangerous places: tall grass, bushes, forest.
  • If going into the woods, wear high, tight shoes that the snake will not bite through.

What not to do if you are bitten by a snake

  • Cauterize the wound in any way – brilliant green, iodine, fire.
  • Cut the wound.
  • Drink alcohol and smoke to avoid adding toxins to the body.
  • Apply a tourniquet. He will stop the blood, but tissue necrosis is possible at the site of the bite.

What to do if you are bitten

  • In the first 10 minutes, reduce the amount of poison in the wound. This can be done with glassware (glass, jar) according to the same principle as medical jars are placed (the vessel is turned upside down, oxygen is burned out with a match or a lighter, the vessel is installed in place of the bite).
  • You can also suck the poison out with your mouth, spitting immediately after each movement. However, this can be done only with full confidence that there are no wounds in the oral cavity and the poison will not enter the bloodstream.
  • Take off rings, bracelets, shoes (if the bite was in the leg), tight-fitting clothes – so that the limbs do not get squeezed when they swell.
  • Give the victim a copious, preferably sweet drink. You should not drink in one gulp, but a little.
  • If possible, take an antiallergic drug and pain reliever.
  • If the bite was in the arm or leg, it is necessary to fix it. The less the limb moves, the slower the poison will spread throughout the body.
  • Apply a bandage and take the victim to the hospital.

Subject to bed rest and medical recommendations, the effects of the bite pass through one and a half to two weeks.
