Smoke from Small Fire on ISS Space Station Triggers Alarm

The ISS is very old, and can’t last forever; but how will it end up going backwards if there is no clarity.

If humans don’t eventually stop the space station, as by orbiting it, there will be an ever-threatening risk of space debris and micrometeorites causing destruction, according to Live Science Sister on site Space.com.

However, the ISS is allowed to operate until at least December 2024 and from a technical point of view, it could still fly as late as 2028, NASA Official previously said on the website. Space.com.

“In addition, from the results of our analysis we have not identified what issues will prevent us from extending beyond 2028 if necessary.”

The 6-hour space trip to work on Russia’s recently docked Nauka science laboratory, scheduled for Thursday, is still ongoing, according to Associated Press.
